Specifications
Custom manufactured to perfectly fit specific
width and length of truck box. Custom manufacturing means a tight
tarp that will last longer and we guarantee it will fit tight.
End Caps
The end caps are
manufactured from .081 aluminum. The rear end cap/hood is
removable to allow for hauling bales, water tanks, fertilizer
bins etc. The rear end cap/hood rests on the side truck body wall,
allowing the tailgate to open fully for easy clean out of box. The
rear end cap is not bolted to the tailgate, allowing the tailgate to
open fully. The rear end cap is attached to a flange that rests on
top of the box ledge. A 1 ½ “ wind deflector is fitted to the front
end cap/hood.
Standard Tarp Stops or Quick Release Tarp Stops
Optional quick
release tarp stops are available in 3" or 6" offset to allow for
easy removal
Cross
Members/Hoops
The
cross-members are
made of 1",
galvanized pipe bent to shape, that are removable to accommodate
water tanks, bales, etc.
Tension
Control
Tension control is
applied to front and rear of the roll tube. Extension springs, along
with a beveled pulley on both ends of the roll tube, maintain a constant
and uniform pressure to keep tarp rolling evenly. The truck box has
a 2 inch specially designed aluminum locking flange for the roll
tube to lock under. The flange is designed with a curve so the roll
tube fits snugly. Set screws on the beveled pulleys allow for easy cable
adjustment.
Locking
System
The locking system
consists of a splined universal joint for quick and easy tension adjustment.
Locking the roll tube metal to metal allows more pressure to be
applied on the crank to keep the tarp tight, thus reducing tarp
fabric wear. A swivel crank handle allows for easy
rolling.
Truck Tarp Options
There is choice of
a
standard roll or reverse roll. A standard roll locks closed under the flange on the
drivers side. A reverse roll locks closed on the passenger side.
Bar sealed cross-member/hoop reinforcements melts the two pieces of fabric
together under pressure, for extra wear life.
